How it’s built
Hexagons have no straight lines to sew in rows: the rosette is built ring by ring around the center.
In Quiltkit, the rosette is placed on a background square, so it can sit in an ordinary grid of blocks.
Sewing tips
- English paper piecing is the classic method: fabric basted around paper hexagons, then whipstitched by hand.
- By machine, sew with Y-seams, stopping ¼ in from each corner.
- Print the 1:1 templates to cut the papers to the exact size.
